Job Spec:

My client in Solihull is looking for a product owner to manage the assessment and prioritisation of work for their Engineering teams.

Your responsibility will include gathering feature requests and incorporating them into their product roadmap. You will be responsible for identifying user needs, both internally and externally, and working with cross-functional teams to manage product releases. This includes ensuring the internal stakeholders to have the ability to document, test, release and support our products.

The role assists the Head of Product in ensuring we roll-out products that deliver their company's vision.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Be passionate about and prioritise great user experiences
  • Capture high-level requirements, assumptions and questions
  • Write high quality product backlog items and be familiar with PBI attributes and how they relate to functions, requirements, enhancements and fixes for future releases
  • Write effective non-functional user stories that enable conversation
  • Organise and participate in sprint planning, demos, retrospectives and stands-ups. You'll be your team's first SM as we begin to implement agile ceremonies across the business
  • Take ownership of your product's delivery and end-to-end lifecycle
  • Invest in their product delivery processes including continuous delivery and automation
  • Create product KPIs that matter, focused on outcomes and not output

Experience

  • Minimum three years IT experience in appropriate industry
  • Overseen Project's within Product Ownership
  • Experience of dealing effectively with levels of management in a large group
  • Experience of managing supplier relationships
