PRODUCT OWNEROur client is a global multi-channel retailer and one of Britain's most loved organisations, we're looking for several Product Owners to join their digital transformation journey and be a central part of the organisation to maintain their place at the forefront of the retail industry.In the new 'dotcom' product structure, our client will have several product groups which look after a collection of related products i.e. separate product teams looking after the Homepage, product description pages and department landing pages of the online shopping experience. We're mapping these product groups onto agile tribes, containing multiple squads which collectively will be owning the product in the group.WHAT TO EXPECTAs an experienced Product Owner, you'll share our client's passion for innovation with a customer-first mindset representing the organisation as an own brand retailer with quality, innovation, traceability and trusted value at their core.The position will involve you being a central point in driving the Foods business strategy by developing product roadmaps to satisfy demands of a variety of stakeholders, as well as actively seeking out potential demand for initiatives in advance of detailed requirements to best support in time delivery. A key part of the role will be translating the product roadmap into a deliverable product backlog by working closely with architecture and support communities to ensure that the product remains stable, available, secure and aligned with the wider technology strategy.You'll work with the Head of Technology and strategic supplier to define, prioritise and break the feature backlog into stories, including clarification and acceptance criteria. Across the wider business you'll develop strong working relationships with the Technical Solutions Lead, Principal Architect and other Product Owners for domain specific technology expertise and Business context. Responsibilities:Working with Business counterparts, set vision for your products using industry knowledge and your understanding of the business contextSupport the articulation of sprint goals by providing product vision and business objectivesCollaboration with other Product Owners to define and prioritise stories for products within the portfolio and wider enterprise.Focus on continuously improving the product taking into account other product teams and initiatives/strategies.Liaise with key stake holders and delivery partner to ensure the acceptance criteria of stories is met and support the release planning and sprint planning exercisesUnderstand Agile estimation approaches and support the delivery team in being self-managingKeep abreast of new technical developments which could enhance or revolutionise the product and customer experienceSupport transformation by proactively educating colleagues within technology and the wider business about agile methodologies and product managementWork closely with cloud platform and security colleagues to ensure the delivery of a high availability, cost optimised and secure service platformWHAT YOU'LL NEEDWe're open to an experienced Product Owner or Technical Business Analyst looking to take the next step in their career.
