Product Manager - Presales - ICT, Cloud, UC, Content and Managed Services & Solutions

Based in Reading / some home working ok
Salary up to £50,000 plus bonus up to 10K and additional benefits
Main job function:
Responsible for developing the range of ICT, Cloud, UC, Content and Managed Services & Solutions that our client will be selling to the market from the portfolio and identifying new strategic partners. Supporting the strategy and managing the portfolio of products/services throughout their life cycle; developing new business, delivering new and innovative solutions to market, attaining sales growth (monitored by KPIs), managing third party vendor relationships and maximizing profitability.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
- Ownership of the ICT, Cloud, UC, Content and Managed Services & Solutions portfolio
- Responsible for the relevant solutions and services P&L, revenue and profitability growth in line with business goals, including monitoring and action plans for improvements as applicable
- Delivery of cutting-edge product marketing collateral to promote the product and service portfolio of responsibility
- Working with corporate communications and the sales teams to put forth a differentiated and compelling value proposition. Promoting this value proposition both to the external and internal audience
- Management of third-party suppliers, to include evaluation of new opportunities, negotiation on pricing and delivery and assimilation of commercial and technical issues in order to deliver growth
- Proactive sales focus - key customer contact is required
- Proactively develop the service channel and deliver benefit through commercialization of our Professional Services offering
- Determining the optimum service pricing and specification for the UK and Irish markets
- Liaison with European Marketing Centre to jointly determine service requirements, specifications and timescales, including attendance at service planning meetings in Europe (approximately quarterly)
- First point of contact for KDE/KDC on all relevant solutions and services requirements
- Deliver high class product launches to the market including looking at dynamic ways of delivering key messages and sales tools
- Create and deliver solutions promotions to market where applicable
- Constantly monitor the market for competitive products/services and pricing and recommend corrective/proactive actions as appropriate
- Evaluate our client and third-party solutions & services, defining market opportunity and, where appropriate, launching as part of the range
- Ensuring all relevant members of staff are fully briefed how to sell our range of solutions
- Deliver solutions roadmap presentations for key customers
- Be the Ambassador of our solutions portfolio and deliver to press and events as required. Actively seeking opportunities to present and advocate solutions portfolio
- Operational product management of the portfolio
In addition to the above key areas the product manager will be expected to be involved and contribute to the following:
- Product features, benefits and applications training
- Ensuring technical accuracy of marketing collateral
Required Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Previous experience in product portfolio and/or service management
- Working knowledge of the relevant marketplace including infrastructure, server, storage, virtualization, cloud, data recovery, connectivity, LAN, WAN, unified communications, mobile, consultation, ECM and professional services
- Strategic analysis and business modelling skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An understanding of other business process including marketing, finance and IT
Experience in some/all of the following Products/Services:
- Cloud
- IT Support (e.g. Monitoring, reporting, helpdesk)
- Connectivity (e.g. WAN, LAN, Calls)
- Unified Comms (Telephony, Mobile, Collaboration)
- Infrastructure (e.g. Back-up, Cloud, Storage)
- Professional Services
