Product Manager

6 Months Contract

Location: Leeds

Daily Rate: £450 - £500

As A Product Manager you will sit within the Bet Customer Tribe who, collectively, and will be responsible for the applications, product features and interfaces such as Cash Out, RequestABet™ and our growing in-play product. You will take responsibility for the product management aspects for at least one Bet Customer delivery squad. As one of the largest online-only operators in the UK this is an unrivalled opportunity to build innovative product solutions and create a differentiated product roadmap.

(some travel required) you will play a fundamental role in the future development and success of this project. Working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, in-house and 3rd party resources, you will be responsible for creating experiences that drive customer engagement and ultimately business performance.

Acting as the interface between the delivery squads, other Product Teams and our customers, you will be responsible for the elicitation and communication of business requirements at every level; ultimately breaking features down into backlog items that engineers understand and can build. You will use data to drive your decisions and in doing so prioritise the relevant product backlogs to create first class digital products and maximise value to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development roadmap working with internal stakeholders, including Senior Management, Technology, Creative, Marketing, Research, Commercial and Trading to ensure we maximise the return on our technology investment; aligning your roadmap with other squads and tribes
  • Leading the delivery of new products from discovery through to launch
  • Converting business and customer requirements into user stories that technology teams can understand and act upon to build product features
  • Use commercial, UX, insight and research functions to identify the features with the most customer and business value.
  • End-to-end management of specific product features and services to deliver first class experiences, strong engagement and revenues
  • Working without boundaries to ensure your product area delivers best-in-class features rapidly, to a high-quality and sustainably.
  • Work with and lead your product development team to set the vision and roadmap, aligning everyone behind a common goal, to motivate and energise behind that vision; building a shared understanding of the product with the team,
  • Validate the impact of new product features and determine where to take them next
  • Explore opportunities to improve effectiveness of delivery; making recommendations as appropriate
  • Ad-hoc analysis of operational data to discover opportunities and fix problems

Key Skills

We are looking for an individual of potential, with relevant product delivery experience in a consumer facing digital or ecommerce environment. Experience of previous Sports betting would be interesting but definitely not a requirement.

  • Product Management experience within a lean / agile development methodology
  • Strong business analysis skills, including communication of business requirements via user stories and appropriate diagramming techniques (qualifications in this area would be advantageous)
  • Understanding of customer interactions and user journeys on transactional digital products and demonstrating a passion for continually improving customer experience
  • Ability to maintain a good balance between short-term delivery and longer term planning
  • Naturally collaborative, and with a desire to be part of a highly successful team rather than just a highly successful individual
  • High levels of commitment
  • Interest in and knowledge of the latest technology and media trends
  • Highly organised and self-motivated, with a desire to see a job through to conclusion
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and comfortable operating at all levels of an organisation
  • A passion for Sport
