Role: Procurement and Process Support - ManufacturingLocation: BristolDuration: 3 months initiallyRate: £25/hour Role Summary:Support purchasing team to provide effective procurement and quality function. Support the procurement of all parts required for the build of various complex systems, in a low volume manufacturing environment. Support the development of procurement, goods-in and stock management tools and processes using principals from Lean continuous improvement. Key Activities:Using engineering BOMs and/or PO driven BOMs to ensure components are available for system builds to meet a demanding delivery schedule.Support Procurement team to manage quotes, and help select vendors based on pricing, delivery, and quality enabling timely customer product deliveryConsult on, and develop goods in processes, quality control and stock management. Work with the engineering build teams to ensure hand over to build is clear and flexible according to projectTimely (weekly) progress/status reports to the Procurement teamDevelop and maintain positive, respected relationships with the engineering, procurement, build and customer teams Essential Responsibilities:3-5 years' experience in manufacturing environmentProven experience implementing LEAN improvementsExperience working in small OEMConfident reading complex engineering drawingsExperience with basic metrology, mechanical parts inspectionWilling to take on a variety of tasks according to business needKnowledge of various manufacturing methodsTo apply please send you CV via advert or direct .
