Process Science Associate - Process Data

A Process Science Associate (process data) is required to join a leading biotechnology manufacturing company. This position offers an impressive and unique opportunity for interested candidates. This role will be responsible for providing data and statistical support, to establish, organise, and maintain effective data co-ordination and data evaluation services pertaining to process monitoring and modelling of biological drugs. Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation, expansion, and continuous improvement of the company's Application of the In-Process Control (IPC) program
  • Accurately source process data from paper records and database systems (LIMS, Qumas, OPM, Historian) to support IPC and other data monitoring needs
  • Perform data co-ordination and verified data entry tasks
  • Apply statistical and quality engineering tools for commercial process data
  • Use statistical process control, process capability and other appropriate tools to monitor process performance, identify trends, and support investigations
  • Work with cross-functional departments to co-ordinate process data collation
  • Work with cross-functional departments to ensure process data is being used to maximize process understanding and facilitate continuous improvement opportunities (i.e. real time process monitoring)
  • Issue knowledge base reports summarising conclusion of data reviews and analysis.

Education/Experience:

  • Requires a MSc in statistics, mathematical sciences or related field
  • Other degree discipline with relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience in a biopharmaceutical setting is desirable but not compulsory

Skills/Competencies:

  • A clear understanding of statistical terms and concepts
  • Proven ability of use with database systems (LIMS, Qumas, OPM etc.)
  • Excellent time management, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Represent a professional, respectful, and ethical manner when interacting with co-workers and internal/external parties
  • Strong analytical ability and associated problem solving
  • The ability to communicate results and findings to non-statisticians
  • Knowledge and proficient in the use of Microsoft products - Excel, Word and PowerPoint
