Principal Project Controller- £40,000-45,000 - Hampshire

A leading Defence and Security Consultancy are seeking an experienced Principal Project Controller to work on a permanent basis in Hampshire.

The role is responsible for the delivery of project controls within an assigned team, under the leadership of a Project or Programme Manager.

Ensure efficiency, effectiveness and consistency is developed across the business that promotes the work of the function. They are required to act as a leader within this function and in collaboration and support of the business.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Leadership, team engagement and development of team through delegation, task management, coaching and mentoring and line management
  • Delivery of Standards, tools and processes of a Project Controls team
  • Lead on the delivery of the Project Controls function to the teams within a Business Unit
  • Responsibility of Service Delivery and performance of project teams
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to other members of the PCP&R and wider Delivery Support function
  • A high level of understanding of project finances and reporting metrics

Qualification/ Skills & Attributes:

  • Significant experience in setting up and delivering a Project Controls Function within a PMO environment or similar
  • Understanding and knowledge of P3M
  • Experience in Stakeholder management across a Business Unit and the wider corporate business
  • Technical/Engineering/Projects background would be desirable
