Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role
We're looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to join us at HMNB Devonport, one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe. We're a key strategic partner to our customers; the MOD and the Royal Navy. We ensure that the Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them in Devonport with a variety of supporting services.
What do I need to do the role?
You'll hold a minimum of HNC or equivalent in an Electrical / Electronic Engineering discipline.
You'll also need to have the following:
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering principles;
- Ability to understand and produce electrical engineering drawings;
- Technical experience of electrical systems;
- Design engineering experience.
You'll also need excellent time-management and organisational skills; good interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written, including report writing) and the ability to interface effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.
What else do I need to know?
- If the required knowledge, skills, experience and competences are not sufficient then a Trainee Design Engineer post may be considered for the right candidate
- The successful candidate will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
