I am recruiting on behalf of a FTSE 250 Engineering Organization and a true market leader within engineering support services. This particular role functions within their Marine Division, supporting key engineering works with major clients such as the MOD.

The successful PR Manager is responsible for the provision of tactical and strategic communications across the business and to external stakeholders.

Main Purpose of Role

  • Working closely with senior communication managers and the onsite communications Business Partners, supporting the development of strategic and tactical PR, media and marketing communications plans aligned to business winning, strategic development and growth objectives.
  • Liaise with and influence key internal stakeholders to identify and shape future opportunities for PR, media and marketing communication initiatives, as well as identifying those that best support an integrated message.
  • Act as a brand champion - ensuring consistency of brand image and corporate messaging.
  • Write and edit copy for use across internal and external marketing communication, PR and Media channels.
  • Provide insight into wider communication opportunities and provide support to developing responses to emerging issues.
  • Support business on crisis communication through taking part in training, live play exercising and forward planning of crisis response.

Requirements

  • Hold a Degree, HND, HNC (or Diploma) in a Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism/Creative Writing, or a related subject, and experience working in a corporate or Agency environment. Alternatively, you would have significant experience working in a senior role within a corporate communications environment.
  • Have experience in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and establishing both internal and external relationships in a corporate setting.
  • Have the ability to demonstrate the capability to produce and distribute high quality communications materials to a wide audience using a variety of mediums.
  • Have excellent written, IT and interpersonal skills.
  • Be confident, creative, patient and flexible.
