We are actively looking to secure a Portfolio Lead to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

The Role

The purpose of the role of Portfolio Trading Lead is to provide portfolio trading analytics and insight for all M&PS products and support and enable unit directors to effectively manage portfolio trading performance. This role is responsible for a number of core internal and external commercial activities, including:

  • Support each sector trading to optimize portfolio performance in order to deliver growth ambitions, including:
  • Take end to end ownership of portfolio reporting including forecasting, monitoring portfolio performance via key metrics including volume, churn, net additions etc. Key to be able to link portfolio performance to sales trading and P&L performance.
  • Reporting and analysis on portfolio KPI's, revenue, profitability & volumes
  • Develop, deliver and monitor performance of Portfolio key metrics highlighting risks, threats and driving through recommendations
  • Provide portfolio input to BRF finance planning and PVEO process

  • Provide Portfolio Reporting to aid:
  • Supporting propositions teams with analysis and insight by product
  • Support commercial pricing teams with data, insight and call to action
  • Provide simplified analysis on all aspects of product performance, including key trends and forecasts
  • Link to sales trading and report on impact to volume and P&L

  • Champion reporting professionalism across the unit, including:
  • Ensure consistent, standard approach to Major and Public Sector Product Trading Reporting and Analysis
  • Presenting to all levels within Major and Public Sector, either on paper, audio or face to face
  • Manage key stakeholders across the sector and wider team

Success Criteria

  • Clear concise, accurate portfolio trading performance reporting and analysis
  • Extensive knowledge of M&PS Portfolio Tier 1 to 3
  • High Quality analytical insight to drive commercial performance
  • Stakeholder feedback on effective and efficient portfolio trading processes

Desired Skills and Experience

The candidate will have strong product trading skillset, having:

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Exceptional excel, data manipulation and presentation skills
  • Output must be clear, concise, accurate and simple to understand and action
  • Ability to deliver high quality work under deadlines and targets. Work will offer key insight and guidance across business units
  • Extensive Knowledge of Major and Public Sector Product portfolio tiers 1 to 3
  • Previous product reporting experience including forecasting
  • Ability to communicate and engage effectively at all levels (including executive team) and articulate ideas, analysis, results, forecast outcomes and recommend actions
  • Experience of using Business Intelligence Analytical tools like Tableau

It is desirable but not necessary that you will have:

  • Demonstrated that they have developed extensive reporting suites on all aspects of Portfolio performance
  • Managed products / services delivering growth
  • Experience of using Salesforce.com
  • Understanding of the Major and Public Sector business and KPI

You will have exceptional stakeholder management experience, having:

  • Managed Exec and Director level stakeholders
  • Delivered complex change across challenging environment ensuring business results
  • Managed balance of internal team and supporting team relations
  • Demonstrated ability to exert influence to ensure vision is delivered
