Platform Engineer - DevOps

* Strong Communication skills (written and verbal) in English
* Proven track record working with clients
* Ability to converse with various stakeholders at different levels
* Knowledge of Capgemini portfolio of offerings
* Have the mindset to challenge and discuss decision points
* Demonstration of a wide Infrastructure & Industry knowledge on various technical products
* Capable of delivering presentations to internal and external stakeholders

* Good working knowledge of processes and procedures (e.g. Agile)
* Understanding of commercial models and costing development
* Ability to identify opportunities to expand Capgemini's client footprint and/or project work
* Ability to manage and control technical risks and work with assumptions
* Appreciation and experience of working within Agile Teams;
* Background covering infrastructure components like networking, server platforms, storage, application structure (2-tier, 3-tier), Identity, Security (Encryption, PKI), load balancing and proxies;
* Software development experience;
* Demonstrate ability to write technical documentation;
* A minimum experience level of 2 years, with evidence of exposure to enterprise cloud projects during this time .
Additionally, the specific roles should have the following Skills & Experience
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
Automation Engineer
* Deep knowledge of designing & implementing either AWS, Azure or Google Compute services, leveraging infrastructure as code;
* Experience, and optionally certification, in either Red Hat Ansible or Hashicorp Terraform;
* Experience of test-driven development and implementing automated solutions.
Devops Pipeline Engineer
* The ability to build and maintain CI\CD pipelines and underlying infrastructure for successful operation and utilisation;
* Experience of test-driven development and implementing automated test solutions and pipelines;
* A good understanding of source control - GitHub / Bitbucket.
Site Reliability Engineer
* Good working knowledge of service management (ITIL) concepts;
* Experience as an operations engineer, platform engineer, or SRE;
* Experience with application and infrastructure management, monitoring and logging systems particularly Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk and integrations with Slack and Teams.
* Excellent proactive analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Ability to work effectively in pressurised situations and can be relied upon to deliver, irrespective of circumstances;
* Experience of Disaster Recovery, High Availability architectures;
* Willing to work 'on-call';
* Experience designing and supporting complex multi-tier, services based, production systems at scale.
