Planning and Analysis Manager



We're looking for a Planning and Analysis Manager to support our client's communications activity by delivering high-quality strategic communications planning and reporting, ensuring that customer insight and the collation and analysis of results form the basis of the end-to-end communications approach


You will:

  • Managing and applying rigorous project planning principles to communications activity using appropriate processes and tools
  • Support the creation of end-to-end communication planning processes to ensure execution meets deadlines and milestones
  • Measure and evaluate Comms resource requirements from data collected via the Comms Triage process
  • Developing and generating communication targets and metrics collation across all channels and producing analysis and evaluation from tactical to strategic level, including testing approaches and making effective use of customer insight and MI from across the business.
  • Ensure the consistent application of a communications evaluation approach that ensures success measures are consistently built into the communications projects including key milestones.
  • Maintaining, circulating and ensuring visibility of key business planning tools e.g. overview of annual communications operational plan.
  • Manage the Communications budget, ensuring the any spend is approved at the appropriate level and that the Directorate budget remains within variance.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of supporting marketing & campaigns activity with strong background in implementing planning processes and measuring communications activity.
  • Understanding of market research and segmentation and its application in underpinning campaign planning
  • Understanding of campaign requirements at strategic level
  • Project management experience using project management tools and techniques
  • Experience of managing budgets and working with budget management systems.
  • Experience of undertaking procurement exercises.
  • Experience of working with DM/CRM systems and contact databases, analytics reporting packages, MS Dynamics and Excel.
