Role Overview: An outline of the tasks required:

  • Refine supply chain process at every stage to ensure MRP stability and ensure efficient inventory management
  • Create SO management process for Sterling/Brisbane - utility that can be uploaded into the ERP system at any stage
  • Project manage the change over from dot to non-dot (monthly process) as well as resource plan and sequence database changes and IT changes in (Strip reports/Syteline etc)
  • Support building supply chain side KPI dashboards (EG spares stockroom health & projected stockroom health)
  • Support building supply chain analytics around usage/sales (trends on reliability)
  • Create robust process for highlighting over and understocking issues to minimize inventory and maximise OTD and customer service
  • Collaborate with the Spares leader/Boeing to ensure contractual obligations are being met and ensure efficient Dowty activities
  • Create robust inter-site collaboration which supports the monthly rhythm going forward
  • Manage moving stock into the Spares bin with Form 1's ready to go in Jan
  • Create physical and/or electronic Kan ban system (links to the portal) - visibility for planning and sourcing at any time
  • Integrate Spares into fulfilment KPI's drumbeat (supply chain OTD) - average TAT from order to shipment
  • Spec future state process for managing legacy demand (instead of auto upload - Boeing)
  • Conversion of all Dash 8 stock from dot to non-dot (manage with IT finance)
  • Work with finance on robust way of tracking dot non-dot usage (journal process to be agreed imminently)
  • Define robust process for reviewing all new forms of demand/usage (Eg COVID - changing landscape constantly - so safety stocks needed to be reviewed regularly - inventory/OTD/delivery/customer)
  • Ensure demand signals are correct (2 bin process is being followed and A class rules and demand is loaded as per SS level)
  • Minimize inventory investment and maximize service level to the 2 bin process and SS targets for A class parts
  • Work closely with stores on the process and service level from shelf to delivery
  • Work closely with the master scheduler on any MS parts
  • Monthly rhythm reviewing overall demand loading (with Spares leader and the shops - Sterling/UK/Brisbane)
  • Maintain the integrity of the Syteline system to ensure optimized inventory investment and delivery
