Pharmacy Channel Sales Manager


Location: field based role covering the UK; candidate ideally based in Greater London

Salary: c. £45-50,000 base salary + bonus, company car, generous benefits package (private medical and dental cover, pension, 25 days holiday, childcare vouchers, critical illness cover, etc.)

Pharmacy Channel Sales Manager - this exciting opportunity has just come up with a top 5 Animal Healthcare company with excellent reputation within the industry, and a strong product pipeline.

In this role, you will have a fantastic opportunity to show own initiative, implement your ideas, improve existing business relationships, and be the person driving forward the Pets retail business of the company through Pharmacy accounts, by supporting and managing a syndicated sales team.


  • Initiate and develop sales through pharmacies via wholesalers. Effective planning, forecasting and management of the business, in order to achieve sales targets.
  • Ensure regular contact with targeted key customers and influencers, organise and conduct customer meetings and attend exhibitions and events, provide customer feedback on products and promotions
  • Understanding of the business environment, and a detailed knowledge of the wholesalers and key customers, their structure and strategic intent.
  • Ensure that the sales teams activities are properly directed and controlled in accordance with the agreed campaigns and priorities for the pets retail business unit, and that the sales teams have the ability to provide key customers with relevant technical information and advice necessary to fully promote the appropriate range of products.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints, quickly and efficiently and ensure that such are promptly and fully reported to Head Office in accordance with company procedures.
  • Partner with the Product Management team to ensure that marketing plans are developed and adapted to best effect for use by pharmacy accounts.


  • A high level of understanding of the sales role preferably gained through Pharmacy and an understanding of the Pharmacy industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise, and able to work independently
  • A high degree of professionalism, problem solving and influencing skills
