PEN TESTER
The candidate will part of the Cyber-Security Penetration Testing Service (CPTS) mission.
As a CPTS Security Expert, you will analyze internal solutions, as well as our commercial solutions for scoping annual and change-driven penetration tests of those solutions. You will also perform quality assurance on the final reports from our penetration testing contractors, align risk ratings to each finding, in alignment with the Office's risk rating standards, and assist in other periodic or ad-hoc solution reviews or security assessments as needed.
Required Skills:
- Subject matter expertise in and hands-on experience with various security and network technologies
- Deep Analytical capabilities and an inquisitive mind, to identify potential vulnerabilities, architecture or process design flaws, or violations of best practices in the application of cybersecurity controls
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to analyze and research technical security issues
- Understanding of the risk analysis applied to IT security findings
- Ability to interpret security policy to determine compliance with policy
- Experience in interpreting industry best practices, cyber risk management, security compliance requirements, and audit reports, and in planning or making recommendations for the remediation of audit findings in the realm of cybersecurity and data privacy
- Significant work experience with infrastructure, network, cloud, and application solution
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- PC literacy, including desktop and collaboration application competency (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Project, Visio, Slack, Chrome, etc.)
Experience with Windows and Linux server operating systems, Cloud platforms, knowledge and experience with cybersecurity and risk principles and prior involvement in penetration testing (management, support, quality assurance or execution thereof) are a plus.
