We are partnering with a London-based team of business consultants, to hire within their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a rapidly growing partner firm who are now seeking an individual to help support and continue this growth.

The Role

Working within a talented team of partners based out of their Central London offices, you'll be responsible for overseeing the payroll process for around 150 small and medium sized businesses. The business uses a new cloud based payroll platform, which enables SME businesses to run their own payrolls without the need for an accountant or payroll bureau. You will be their main contact for support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support to users within clients' finance teams, advising on issues of pay, tax, national insurance, pension and other mandatory or voluntary deductions. This involves interpreting legislation and regulations to ensure correct advice is given
  • You will be responsible for onboarding new clients, dealing with queries relating to pensions, tax codes, benefits in kind, and all other payroll related queries.
  • You will be responsible for making sure that all HMRC submissions are made in a compliant and timely manner.

The Person

  • Experienced at end to end payroll processing from administration, reconciliation, compliance checking and advisory support.
  • You will ideally hold a recognised payroll qualification or training.
  • You will be proficient in interpreting payroll rules and regulations
  • You will have a good knowledge of payroll systems, taxation and national insurance rules
  • Demonstrate a high level of numeracy and understand the importance of numerical discipline
  • You will be client focused with a genuine interest in business, and technology
  • A knowledge and experience of working within a partnership business environment highly desirable.

This is a great chance for an ambitious and self-motivated individual to work alongside a team of talented Consultants. If you thrive in working within an environment which showcases entrepreneurial spirit and innovation this opportunity is made for you!

In return our client is offering a competitive salary, genuine career progression and great office location, approximately 3 mins walk from central London main line overground train and underground station.

Please be advised the business is currently working remotely, all applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Due to expected number of applicants, only successful applicants will be contacted
