Our client, a market leading multi-national technology consultancy in Security & Defense are looking for a OpNet Knowledge Manager to join them on a customer-based project based Corsham. The assignment is an initial 18-month contract and can offer a competitive daily rate.

Job Specification:

The OpNET Knowledge Manager supports the Solution Support team providing Artefact, Documentation, and Knowledge Management support for the NSoIT(D) solution.

The Solution Support Team is responsible for:

  • Reviewing and remediating technical artefacts produced by NSoIT(D) Engineering
  • Working with the Solution Design Authority focus knowledge artefact requirements and production.
  • Working with the NSoIT(D) Engineering Team to develop and remediate technical artefacts.
  • Working with the NSoIT(D) Test team to feedback remediation derived from testing into the knowledge artefacts.
  • Working with stakeholders, Solution Design Authority, and Engineering to ensure that the engineering knowledge artefacts produced are appropriate and complete.
  • Reviewing and approving artefacts as appropriate.

In order to deliver this service, it is essential that individuals have:

  • Detailed understanding of Knowledge Management methods and practices with at least 3 years demonstrable experience, advanced knowledge, and understanding, within the last 5 years of:

o Use of the Atlassian Toolset - JIRA, Confluence and BitBucket - to support knowledge management processes and solutions.

o Delivering against high pressure timelines and in complex organisations.

o Writing technical artefacts (such as Low-Level Designs, Work Instructions, System Administration Guides, Runbooks).

  • Several years' experience in the knowledge management of artefacts and processes within:

o Public and Private cloud architectures utilising Software Defined Datacentre (SDDC) techniques.

o Military Information Services such as NATO FAS, UK Base Services and MOD Business Management apps.

o Security implementations such as PKI and proxy services e.g., ADFS in line with MOD Security assurance processes.

  • Past experience of delivering and supporting knowledge management solutions within the UK Public Sector.
  • An understanding of Defence Lines of Development and MOD Capability Integration.
  • A firm grasp of MOD Service management tooling and ITIL.
  • Excellent communication skills with diverse and adverse audiences
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to identify risks associated with business processes, operations, information security programmes, and technology projects.
  • Hold a current SC clearance and be prepared to undergo DV clearance.
