Operational Readiness Manager - 3 Months - London


An Operational Readiness Manager is required to join a technology based company, located in London on a 3-month contract to start as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will lead a team of operational readiness professionals, and deliver consistent processes and procedures to improve efficiency and customer experience across. You will independently take ownership of your work and drive high expectations and performance goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating and delivering the Regional Capacity and TLR Plans.
  • Creating and delivering the recruitment plan for the Region including both skilled and trainee engineer recruitment and on boarding.
  • Creating and delivering the Regions training, tools and kitting plans, including upskilling and selection programmes.
  • Governing the Regional Capex tools & stores plan to ensure that we deliver inline within the Regional budget.
  • Delivering the Business Continuity plan, including the annual Regional contingency plans (i.e. winter, COT, strikes).

  • Driving a world class cost base - collaboratively working with Area Managers to reduce duplication and waste, by owning and driving the non-pay (i.e. Fleet, T&S, and mobile phones) spend lines. Identifying non-adherence to policy and ensuring costs are delivered to budget
  • Designing and delivering resourcing strategies to optimise business plan performance.
  • Translating capacity modelling into accurate forecasting for contractors.

Mandatory Skills Required:

  • You will be qualified to degree level or equivalent
  • You will have experience with building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
  • You will have strong leadership skills, along with communication and influence skills
  • You will have strong experience working with MS Office suite products (Adv. Excel, Access etc.)
  • To have strong knowledge of the Openreach Fibre network delivery process, end to end systems and products.
  • You will have a depth of commercial and analytical capability and be able to translate complex data into business insights and drive action plans
