NOC Support Specialist (SNOC) - Bracknell - 12 months

Our client, a market leading multi-national technology company are looking for an Application Support Specialist, to join them on a customer project based in Bracknell. The assignment is an initial 12 month contract and can offer a competitive daily rate.

A national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered. Successful candidates are required to work within the Orange team.

Role Overview:

  • The CAS Application Support Specialist will be part of the Security and Network Operations Centre (SNOC) team that supports the Computer Network Defence (CND) of the ICT infrastructure.
  • This post will manage, monitor and control, the various aspects and components of the Cyber Access Services suite of applications. The individual will assist with the on-going development and validation of the defined policies for the Cyber Access Services.
  • Reporting any weaknesses and putting forward continuous service improvements that could be introduced into the service. The CAS Application Support Specialist will also be expected to pass their knowledge onto more junior members of the SNOC team and cross train on different technologies as the need arises
  • The successful applicant will be required to liaise and work closely with 4th line support, the CSA community, various project teams and Service Delivery Managers.

Key Skills For This Role:

  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate prior experience or good working knowledge of SQL.
  • We are looking for good working knowledge of IPS & IDS.
  • Strong Linux knowledge.
  • You should also have excellent documentation and communication skills as you will be passing this on to an integrator to roll out whilst also working within a customer facing environment.
  • Candidates require O365 experience, laptop/desktop repairs, software upgrades.
  • You must also have experience working with Network Services : SSH (General IOS configuration and network understanding)
  • Familiarity with network activity; analysis of audit trails and alarms and initiating corrective action where necessary.
