NOC Engineer / Network Helpdesk (Not 24/7 Shifts) - London, West End

Must be able to work independently and within a team, must have Troubleshooting and Connectivity experience, Wi-Fi and VoIP issues, must have ISP/Telco Experience as well as Customer Support Experience coupled with a CCNA certification

Fibre Networks, PON, Broadband Media, ISP, Telecoms!!

CCNA Qualification Minimum plus any exposure to Huawei network products will be advantageous!

This is a high tempo role, and this client will happily consider candidates from a Network Operations background who are looking to gain more project exposure in a busy ISP.

Cisco, Wi-Fi, Network Operations to support day to day network operations in an ISP environment, Huawei, Cisco, Juniper and/or HP Routers, Switches and Hubs over GPON and P2P Networks.

This dynamic and growing network services provider are seeking professional, career minded and focused NOC Engineers / Network Helpdesk Engineers to be based at their HQ in London.

You will need to ambitious, have energy and commitment in abundance and be looking to progress to the next stage in your career with a fast-paced Network and Communications organisation.

You will play an active part providing input and assistance as well as BAU Operational Support in a full multi-vendor environment and the scope of the role means you will be working on multiple technologies, and your learning and development will increase in a short amount of time.

Any experience in Network Automation or coding would also be beneficial, but not essential.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Fault Management
  • Ascertain the customers problem and ensure you have a solid understanding of the issue.
  • Understand the timeline of the fault and the impact to the customer.
  • Set realistic next steps and timeframes associated with those follow-up actions.
  • Manage any 3rd party resources required to assist in fault resolution.
  • Escalate where necessary and within a timely manner, to ensure that the fault receives the correct level of attention and support.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed communication is always maintained with the customer until the fault is resolved.
  • Complete day-to-day network administrative tasks
  • Assist in the provisioning of new cabinets
  • Create Documentation that support customers and aid fault resolution
  • Dealing with 3rd party contractors and other departments.
  • Testing new technologies

You will ensure an interview if you have previous experience working in "Hybrid, Multi-Vendor Network environments" utilising products such as Huawei, Cisco, Juniper or HP over GPON and P2P Networks
