Naval Engineering Instructor

A market leading organisation is currently recruiting for an Naval Engineering Instructor to take on a permanent position ASAP. The main responsibilities of the role are as follows -

  • To act as ME Instructor for RSNF students within HMS Sultan
  • Design, develop and prepare ME trade training modules for RNSF Students including Mechanical and Electrical Principles and Stability.
  • To instruct Officers and Ratings of the RSNF on SRMH ship equipment's & systems and to become lead instructor on ME Introduction, Stability and Noise and VA
  • Prepare ISPECs and lesson plans on ME related SRMH equipment's and instruct where required.
  • To design and develop, student hand-out notes to accompany the ME Training syllabus where required.
  • Develop a good understanding of the whole ship environment of the Hunter SRMH with particular emphasis on safe methods of operating all marine engineering systems and equipment.
  • Support students on UK and foreign manufacturer's courses in support of training as and when required
  • Prepare and conduct RSNF new joiner's briefs for each batch of ME new student arrivals into HMS Sultan.
  • Support ME RSNF students with their ELT enrichment training programme and provide mentoring support to the students as required.

The successful candidate will display the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • MS Office literate to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Essential)
  • Experienced in instructional techniques (Essential)
  • Technical appreciation of Naval training and the Naval training environment (Essential)
  • Working knowledge of Foreign customers and cultures (Essential)
  • Experienced in Foreign navies training (Desirable)
  • Experience in SRMH WE equipment and procedures (Desirable)
