Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician Permanent - Full Time Coventry Based£35,500 to £37,500 per annum About the role: We have an exciting opportunity for Multi-skilled Maintenance Technicians to join Meggitt. Working closely with their customers, Meggitt deliver technologically differentiated systems and products with high certification requirements in Aerospace, Defence and Energy markets. Meggitt design and manufacture state of the art Wheels, Brakes and Brake Control Systems for the most advanced civil and military aircraft with 77,000 aircraft fitted with their brakes worldwide. Using your experience as a Multi-skilled (Electrical and Mechanical) Technician, you will work within a large team of 75 people that carry out maintenance of Plant and Equipment including 100's of conventional drilling and CNC machines. You will ensure that maintenance is of a high standard, meeting the requirements of the manufacturing areas, whilst ensuring compliance with all electrical and mechanical regulations. You will manage day-to-day operations of the maintenance stores, ensure suitable stock levels are maintained, liaise with sub-contract personnel and carry out procedural inspections. You will ensure that the highest priority is given to safety, implement planned corrective maintenance in a scheduled equipment shutdown situation and promote continuous improvement The role is an excellent opportunity to utilise your maintenance experience in an innovative industry and progress through a successful career in the aerospace sector. You will need to have experience of mechanical and electrical maintenance of plant and equipment and hold a minimum of HNC/Apprenticeship within an engineering discipline. We would also like you have:Working knowledge of statutory regulations such as electrical, pressure systems and transportable gas, manual handling.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Knowledge and experience of welding techniques and/or IEE wiring regulations.Be physically fit. What else do I need to know? This position is based in Coventry at a site in the CV6 area. You will be moving to the new Meggitt site of Ansty Park in the CV2 area in 2020. The new site that has received £130million investment, will provide manufacturing and office space for 1000 staff and includes a sports & social club, canteen facilities and car parking.This is a permanent position with a competitive salary and excellent benefits including a defined contribution pension scheme and 25 days holiday. 37/39 hours per week with optional overtime.
