Medical Science Liaison - Multiple Sclerosis

Location: Field based, covering Scotland and Northern England

Salary: c. £60,000 + 15% bonus, company car, full benefits package (25 days AL, private medical and dental cover, contributory pension, etc.)

Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - this role has just become available on a permanent basis with a global leading pharmaceutical company, with excellent reputation within the industry.

Joining a small and friendly team, you will provide balanced, non-promotional high-level scientific and technical partnership to internal and external stakeholders for the benefit of patient care.

  • Engage in reactive scientific exchange with Key Thought Leaders and promptly respond to rective requests both internal and external.
  • Interact with other field-based MS personnel in order to meet business objectives in a compliant manner.
  • Support educational initiatives to increase the awareness of multiple sclerosis and the therapeutic areas of interest to the company
  • Provide non-promotional scientific and medical Information about multiple sclerosis and the related company molecules in the UK and Ireland
  • Develop and build relationships with key thought leaders in order to develop advocacy, broaden clinical experience and knowledge, and facilitate clinical studies.
  • Organisation and support of advisory boards, medical educational programmes and clinical trials in connection with the multiple sclerosis medical department objectives.


  • A Degree in Life Sciences, PhD level is preferable
  • Ability to engage with KOLs
  • Experience in an MSL role within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and of regulatory processes (Code of Practice and MHRA)
  • Commercial awareness
  • MS/ Neurology therapeutic experience
