The work location is in Holmes Chapel and is a 6 Month Contract.

This role is paying 14.83 per hour.

The role is working for a well-established pharmaceutical company, which specialises in the manufacturing of inhalation products


Microbiologists conduct sampling and testing of microbiological/other samples for the specific work area and prepare materials for this testing. The function of this position is to perform microbiological and other testing following approved methodology to assure that the safety, quality, purity and stability (as appropriate) of our systems products, components and in-process stages are in compliance with approved specifications. Additionally this position reviews test results, highlights problems related to technical and equipment issues and works closely with the Senior Microbiologist/Microbiology Quality Leader.

Key Skills:

  • Must have Pharmaceutical Experience
  • Understanding of cGMP systems
  • Understanding of EHS system
  • Analysis and interpretation of data with problem solving skills
  • Science Graduate with 0-2 year's relevant laboratory experience OR "A" Levels with six years relevant laboratory experience (or equivalent).


  • Conducts microbiological and other testing of systems, raw materials, in-process checks, finished products, components and stability products using established test methods to prove accurate and reliable data to assure microbiological quality and compliance.
  • Assures through review that data generated is accurate, reliable and reproducible.
  • Trains and assists laboratory associates in interpretation of Regulatory and compendia requirements.
  • Supports Senior Microbiologists and the Microbiology Quality Leader in performing non-routine activities, usually to established methods and procedures.
  • 80%: Accurate, compliant and efficient handling and evaluation of materials and equipment to support batch release, systems monitoring and stability program.
  • 5%: Establish and proactively apply an effective relationship with customers, both external and internal, to provide a timely and progressive service.
  • 5%: To carry out the requirements of the site systems in a compliant manner.
  • 5%: The compliant creation, completion and storage of documentation pertaining to the team.
  • 5%: Take part in training to prescribed site requirements in accordance to cGMP.
