TEAM LEADER/ SUPERVISOR/ MECHANICAL ENGINEERING MANAGER

SHOEBURYNESS

This role is available due to a company expansion.

The Job

  • This role is responsible for the line management and discipline development for a team of 10-15 Mechanical Technicians

  • The role will lead the development and competency of their team in line with individual development needs and business requirements

  • You will be expected to work as part of the wider team to identify improvements in productivity across the Mechanical Fabrication Group ensuring that colleagues are exposed to the best opportunities and that the Business is utilising their skills effectively

  • You will be operating at Senior Engineer level working for the majority of your time as a key engineer in project delivery teams

  • You will also have responsibility for delivery of bids, projects, investments etc

The Fit

  • A minimum of two years line management experience is expected for this role

  • A technical background with a HNC/HND or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering

  • Proven ability to prioritise work and understand client requirements

  • Comfortable to challenge poor behaviours and make corrective changes in their team and across other teams

  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
