We have an exciting opportunity for Mechanical Equipment Support Technician join the largest support services organisation based in Portsmouth.
Main responsibilities include;

  • Maintenance services for the Submarine Escape Training Tower including maintenance, operation, fault finding and defect rectification of all functional machinery associated with water systems, steam systems, electrical systems, High and Low pressure air systems Nasmith training pool, Lifting Equipment, Underwater Cameras, Video Recorders and associated equipment and ensuring all documentation is maintained up to date.
  • Responsible for maintenance and supervision of Safety Equipment
  • Responsible for the maintenance of Lifting and Safety Equipment in the South East region
  • HP air maintenance (assistance).
  • Checks on documentation and equipment for authorising Permits to Work.
  • Other tasks associated with stock checks and administrative assistance.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience of maintaining High Pressure systems.
  • Experience of fault finding, diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment.
  • Experience of carrying out testing and inspecting mechanical systems.
  • Qualified academically or vocationally to a minimum of ONC or equivalent in relevant subject matter
