Mechanical Engineer Location: Malmesbury Job Type: Permanent, Full Time We are currently recruiting an experienced and advanced Mechanical Engineer to join the Motors Team at a world renowned engineering and manufacturing company. The company is at the very forefront of its industry and you will have a chance to work on a very exciting electric vehicle project, specifically battery packs. This is an incredible opportunity for someone with the right knowledge and experience to join the multi-discipline team and bring ideas and innovation to the project. You will be responsible for - · Designing solutions to satisfy mechanical, thermal and electrical requirements · Meeting specifications such as cost, size, weight, efficiency and time · Working with the team to achieve world class concepts and designs · Developing parts, systems and assemblies from concept to proof of principle You will have the following- · A degree in an relevant engineering or scientific subject · Demonstrable knowledge of 3D CAD software · Knowledge of analytical techniques, ideally Ansys and/or Altair HyperWorks · Solid understanding of structural design principles including design for dynamic loading and shock · Good knowledge of GD&T · Basic understanding of thermal systems design · Experience of battery pack design would be highly desirable · Knowledge of ISO 26262 would be desirable · Any other relevant knowledge would be desirable You will be joining a company with a reputation of producing only the highest quality products, and strive for excellence in everything they do.
