I am recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer looking to advance their career into a Quality Engineer position. Working for a FTSE 250 Engineering Support Services Organisation, this role functions within their Marine and Technology Division which provides vital engineering services to key clients, such as the Royal Navy.
Working within the Marine Systems Support Partner (MSSP) contract you will, provide quality assurance support to the business in support of service delivery with specific emphasis on support to the assurance program and projects. Supporting the customer in the rectification of goods inwards queries.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer in maximising resource utilisation factors relevant to the business area.
  • Providing support to the business in the delivery of its quality plans, ensuring appropriate quality levels are allocated to control of work activities.
  • Providing support to the planning, scheduling, conducting and reporting of audits.
  • Providing support and advice to the business on planning to meet standards relevant to its activities, particularly those specific to new projects.
  • Providing support to the reviewing of findings from independent assurance activities.
  • Supporting the implementation of necessary corrective and preventive actions to remedy any non-compliance found and to avoid recurrence.
  • Supporting the delivery of a continual improvement process across the business.
  • Any appropriate task as requested by the Production Quality Manager.


Required Experience:

  • ONC, HNC, NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering
  • A background in a highly regulated industry and be familiar with the quality levels and disciplines is required. Manufacturing, defence or aerospace background desirable.
  • Knowledge/awareness of Quality Management Systems (ISO9001 or equivalent)
  • Computer literate with good keyboard skills and understanding of MS Office applications.
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Good time management skills
