This global organisation in the engineering services sector are looking to hire a Management Accountant to work within their finance team based in Portsmouth

This role forms part of their Aviation division, who deliver critical and vital aviation services in 14 countries around the world.

You will play an integral within the central finance function, managing completion of month end, forecasts and budgets for the numerous Aviation business units and companies who form the division. Reporting into the Head of Finance you will join this large and collaborative team who deliver key financial information to group level stakeholders.

About your new role

Key duties will include:

  • Managing completion of month end, forecasts and budgets for central Aviation Companies
  • Production of monthly, quarterly and ad hoc financial reporting
  • Ensuring the delivery of accurate and consistent data quality in the financial systems for the central Aviation Companies
  • Work with functional heads updating and monitoring their financial position
  • Help drive key insights and analytics
  • Execute value-added analysis and provide decision support for special projects and initiatives
  • Execute continuous process improvement
  • Participate in the external audit processes
  • Prepare statutory accounts for central companies
  • Review and reporting of monthly, budget, forecast and strategic plans for Central companies
  • Statutory reporting e.g. national statistics and accounts for Sector central legal entities
  • Recommend amendments to the Business Processes, associated work instructions and controls supporting Reporting and the use of SAP BPC.
  • Managing 1 direct report - Assistant Accountant

About you

  • Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA, ideally with 3 years post qualified experience
  • Background in management accounts based roles
  • Excel skills to include V-lookup, Pivot tables etc.
  • Confident with MS PowerPoint and leading presentations
  • SAP Experience desirable
  • Knowledge of accounting standards - IFRS/FRS
