Maintenance Technician - up to £35,800 + Benefits + Exceptional Training and Development


I am recruiting a Maintenance Technician for the UK's leading engineering support services organisation. As a business they provide critical engineering support and training to a number of high profile sectors including, defence, public services and nuclear.
The successful Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across a training centre for the London Fire Brigade. The site is complex, interesting and will provide an enjoyable challenge for engineers that like to get stuck into something new. As the systems are unique, all training will be provided to ensure you have the necessary skills to be successful in the role. This will include gaining new qualifications such as fork lift licence and gantry cranes
You will also responsible for two operative, managing the volume and quality of their daily work. Therefore you must be comfortable with managing


Responsibilities

  • Ensure correct use and maintenance of PPE.
  • Take no undue Risks towards personal Health and Safety and the Safety of others during the course of your Work.
  • Ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times for all Employees.
  • Ensure all Team Policies and Site Procedures are being work too at all times by all Employees.
  • Ensure all requirements of the Site Maintenance and Course Delivery Schedules are achieved.
  • Complete Fit to Work Training Requirements for all Operational Team Members and supervise the refresher competency requirements of direct Reports.
  • Assist in Scheduling and Supervision of the Works of Contractor on Site.
  • Complete monthly 121 meeting to issue performance feedback to Operational Team Members.
  • Respond to all reasonable requests of DTF Technical Support Manager in a timely fashion.
  • Actively Safe Guard the Attitude of the Team.


Requirements

  • 17th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate
  • City and Guilds Electrical or Plumbing Certificate.
  • First Aid at the Workplace.
  • Fire Safety at Work.
  • Health and Safety in the Workplace.
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance
  • Ability to Follow Working Procedures and Safe Systems of work Instructions.
  • Knowledge and experience of IT systems.
