Maintenance Reliability Engineer

On behalf of Sanofi, Waterford we are recruiting a Maintenance Reliability Engineer to provide maintenance and equipment support to the site and assist the development of productive and efficient maintenance practices. You will also be asked to assist cell teams investigate and resolve technical problems on manufacturing equipment. Permanent position.

Job Requirements

  • Work with maintenance technicians to identify and resolve equipment faults
  • Co-ordinate complex equipment challenges to resolution with assistance from technician group across shifts
  • Assist maintenance groups refine maintenance routines following analysis of downtime causes and other performance measures and to implement site maintenance strategy in a consistent manner across the site.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key equipment vendors to ensure appropriate support and to ensure the site learns from evolving vendor experience
  • Co-ordinate shutdown activity to ensure effective implementation of shutdown tasks and effective return service post shutdown
  • Develop technician expertise on shift in understanding equipment performance and in their ability to fault find and repair problems that arise
  • Work alongside Maintenance Planner to ensure maintenance activity is directed at the most important fault areas.
  • Work with technician SMEs to ensure PMs are appropriate in reducing downtime
  • Work with Corporate Engineering function to ensure all policies are compliant on site

Qualifications & Experience:

  • +5 years' experience in an engineering environment. Min. 3 years' experience in the maintenance function of a high volume manufacturing organisation.
  • Familiar with principles and practices of preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Experience of performance measurement systems such as downtime evaluation and analysis, OEE.
  • Experience in the delivery of maintenance excellence programs in a regulated environment.
  • Experience working with Datastream CMMS or similar CMMS
  • Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical)

Skills & Knowledge

  • Technical knowledge (theory and practice) of aseptic manufacturing including lyophilisation considered an advantage.
  • Design of Experiment and associated statistical techniques
  • Pharmaceutical product development project life-cycle
  • Strong report-writing and verbal communication skills
  • Laboratory and pilot plant skills
  • Project management skills
  • Structured Problem-solving skills - Statistical
