Sandown Class Maintenance Engineer

37 hrs/wk, Mon-Fri

Permanent, Full-time

HMNB Clyde - Faslane

About the role

Here at Babcock International we are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join our Marine Division, which provides vital engineering services to key clients, such as the Royal Navy. You would join a team of like-minded Engineers and assist in implementing maintenance delivery consistently and coherently across the Sandown Class Surface Ships.

With your marine engineering background you will use your experience with maintenance management systems and assist in the planning of maintenance for the Surface Ship Support Alliance. This would include providing technical analysis, failure trends, preventative measures, collating and building maintenance work packages.

As well as working for the UK's leading naval support business, we will also provide you with all the training, support and benefits that you would expect from a global company.

What do I need to do the role?

You will need to hold a minimum of HNC in a technical engineering discipline with a background in marine engineering. You will also have experience working with a maintenance management system so that, with your analytical mind set and good IT skills, you can manage the database and recommend/implement maintenance policy changes.

What else do I need to know?

This opportunity is based at HMNB Clyde with occasional travel to Rosyth Dockyard.

This role is 80% office based and 20% on board Sandown Class Surface Ships.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate level of Security Clearance.
