Swansea, Permanent - These roles are primarily located in Swansea with a possible option to work from Swindon.
Salary range: £37,428 - £41,273 depending on skills and experience.

Join the DVLA as a Lead Test Engineer, and you’ll be supporting the programme that is migrating legacy technology onto new, cloud-based platforms, that pave the way for future business and service transformation.
You’ll be responsible for planning, designing and managing assigned aspects of non-functional test – including performance test and OAT of infrastructure and application changes. 

As the acknowledged expert in the relevant toolkit(s) required to execute these tests, you’ll be responsible for the analysis of results and articulation of recommendations. You’ll also define and maintain automation frameworks across functional and non-functional test areas, and support in the delivery of automation regression scripts.

Ideally, you’ll have previous ‘hands-on’ testing experience from a large organisation with hosting services on cloud and on-premise infrastructure. This means you’ll be comfortable working without supervision in this role.

You’ll also have experience of the following:
- HPE Performance Centre
- Network packet analysis tools (e.g.  Wireshark, tcpdump, fiddler)
- At least one of Java, C, C++, .NET
- Putty
- SoapUI
- Unix
- App performance monitoring
- Server, database and network monitoring
- Oracle tuning and AWR report analysis
- Data generation and monitoring programming.
