This consumer intelligence helps deliver a better experience and service to consumers and improves marketing performance. IDS employs a considerable team across several locations in a variety of specialist skills including data development, analytics, research, report development, decision execution, CRM, insight consultancy, software development and econometrics and has a very extensive and deep stakeholder base across 30+ areas of Sky, covering every subject - from acquisition to retention, from on-screen to online, from marketing effectiveness to targeted advertising.

This role is based within the Analytical team who focus on digital implementation, analysing and tracking customer activity within NowTV to illustrate the customer journey.

Project Brief:

As a member of the IDS, NowTV, you'll help drive decision making using the power of data and insights. This role is specifically focused on delivering digital analytic projects relating to implementation, reporting and reliable delivery to stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Devise solutions and oversee their implementation - you will often work right through from the ideas stage to seeing it become a reality
  • Work in collaboration with relevant stakeholders within the Customer & Development Teams, developers, analysts, product teams and across the wider business to support delivery of their strategies and objectives.
  • Identify the key decisions and questions for the business areas and develop measurement and reporting frameworks to inform both strategic and operational business decisions.
  • Work collaboratively within the wider Digital Analytics team across the Sky Group to deliver global solutions with shared approaches, governance and technology and the economies of scale that brings
  • To work systematically through user scenarios and have an eye for detail to debug complex analytics tagging
  • Ability to visualise complex business requirements in a manner that is simple but accurate, in the form of reports and dashboards.

Essential skills, technologies and experience

  • Management & Delivery of end to end projects: Must be able to juggle several projects simultaneously and delivery end to end
  • Communication: Must be able to effectively communicate technical and complex information to a range of stakeholders
  • End to End Analytics: Candidate must have strong digital data and analytical skills which demonstrate an understanding of both how data is created and exploited within a business. An expert in the implementation and use of Adobe Analytics, Dynamic Tag Manager, Tableau and/or related applications
  • Stakeholder Management: Candidate must have an excellent and proven track record of having established successful business relationships with stakeholders at Head of Level. Evidence of influencing, engage with, and responding to senior stakeholders with credibility.
  • Excellent commercial skills: Able to produce and articulate realistic and implementable digital solutions with highly commercially aware stakeholders. Keen on following recent trends in the market.
  • Working in a dynamic environment: Enjoys working in an innovative and creative environment. Enjoys task-focused delivery, a fast pace of work and overcoming challenges. Strong multi-tasking abilities, flexibility, and patience in a fluid environment
  • Team player and professional attitude: Persistence, resilience and being helpful to others.

Specialist Skills:

  • Good understanding of Insight & Decision Science methodologies, specifically digital analytics
  • Delivery of end-to-end project
  • Previous experience of using digital data in a large consumer retail or online business in Media, Broadcast, Content sectors with specific experience of exploiting product usage data.
  • Expert in the implementation and use of Adobe Analytics, Dynamic Tag Manager, Tableau and/or related applications
