Lead Developer - .Net C# MVC

On behalf of a long standing client I am seeking a senior level ASP.Net MVC specialist to drive the development of the company's data & reporting applications built on MVC4, C#, .Net 4.5 and JQuery.

My client's data & analytics services are made available to customers around the world through a number of web-based products. The technology platform this based on is being progressed at a rapid pace to deliver new features and meet requirements for new and existing customers. This will involve gathering and working through requirements, planning & estimation, development and interaction with testers & stakeholders. The development work predominantly consists of server-side controllers & APIs, storage & querying using SQL & NoSQL back-ends, front-end UI with Javascript. This requires a strong understanding of web technologies, best practices and OO design, excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail. This role offers a lot of flexibility and the development team are encouraged to drive innovation in the company through ideas, enhancements and new technologies.

Key Activities

  • Work as part of the core development team
  • Develop B2B web-based applications
  • Contribute to a wide variety of internal projects and codebases

Experience required

  • Microsoft .NET development - 5 Years min for top end of salary band
  • C# 4.0 or newer
  • Net MVC
  • JQuery
  • Strong skills in web technologies, such as HTTP, HTML, Javascript, CSS3, AJAX, JSON, SignalR
  • Firm grasp of OO and design patterns
  • Scrum development framework
  • Personal Qualities:

    • Professional manner and appearance

Beneficial Skills

  • Windows services development, multi-threaded applications
  • MongoDB, ElasticSearch or other NoSQL DBs
