Job Title: Global Lead Agile Coach
Location: London (remote at present)
Duration: 6 months
rate: Up to £600 per day based on relevant experience


This role is at the heart of Global's Transformation. The Lead Agile Coach will be supporting the agile transformation programme by being primarily in service of the Tribe leadership. Your prime responsibilities will include;

  • Mentoring the TL-Team on improving outcome velocity in an agile setup
  • Supporting TL-Team to improve agile maturity across the whole tribe
  • Supporting TL-Team on effective squad design
  • Conducting leadership training
  • Helping to identify and manage dependencies pan-tribe and to the business
  • Developing and implementing tribe-level-frameworks (e.g. agile maturity assessment, deployment monitoring)
  • Setting up and maintaining TL-dashboard and squad OKR cascade
  • Maintaining and improving cadence and tribe level artifacts, conducts cross-tribe ceremonies


Delivery, Process and Technical expertise

  • Deep knowledge of Agile principles and practices. Ability to transfer that understanding at all levels of the organization.
  • Expert in a range of the Lean / Agile toolsets including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Design Thinking, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Large Scale Scrum (LeSS), DevOps
  • Can assess a scenario or team and identify what tools are best suited for the specific situation.
  • Certified Agile coach with relevant certification, proven delivery experience in Agile and leading a team of Agile coaches in a large organisation
  • Dev flow: Understand how typically something goes from being an idea, through to development, testing and deployment, in the context of the complexities and opportunities of the landscape and technical estate.
  • Systems thinking: Understand the entirety of system to diagnose and address the issues in the system. In this context, system implies all the constituent parts of value, and is not restricted to IT
  • Value stream understanding: Able to break down processes and understand how value flows through the system



Presenting, training, coaching and facilitation skills:

  • Consulting and facilitation skills in leading combined business and technical teams in the adoption and improvement of Agile methodologies and mindsets, with the ability to mediate, support all voices being heard, helping teams navigate through conflict to become stronger
  • Application of Agile principles in one or more of these development disciplines: design, development, testing, and management; can relate principles, practices into performing these disciplines in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent presentation and training skills with ability to run Agile training courses, such as on the basics of agile, product owner, scrum master and certifying your teams
  • Designing / applying / tailoring our tools and processes to the situation
  • Showing your passion for people, team dynamics and delivering customer value, acting as a role model for agile and Da Vinci values and principles



Business expertise and knowledge:

  • Stakeholder management and relationships at all levels across Technology and CFUs to influence, coach, challenge and remove impediments, with understanding of our operation, transformation, projects and pilots
  • Ability to work with areas of the business to unblock resource impediments to drive transparency
  • Ability to define goals, measure and evaluate progress and underlying factors supporting or obstructing progress
  • Ability to adapt and align as transformations, processes, frameworks and method evolves across the business



Mandatory

  • Proven track record as an Agile Coach in complex work environments
  • Hands-on experience applying lean/agile methodologies within infrastructure, hardware, and operational environments
  • Experience leading a team of Agile coaches working with cross functional teams (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)
  • Proven delivery success record
  • Significant experience working with technical and non-technical teams to work collaboratively on agile solutions, software and ways of working
  • Proven track record of large scale agile transformation in complex organisations as well as orchestrating transition and coaching teams for large and complex Agile programs ideally across a breadth of industries - notably software companies, telecom, consumer, banking, healthcare
  • Agile certification such as Certified Scrum Master, PMI-ACP (Advanced Certified Practitioner), SPC (SAFe Program Consultant), CAL (Certified Agile Leader)
