Key Account Manager - Canary Wharf - Public Sector - Competitive Salary & OTE Earnings

My client is a global blue-chip company that provides market leading software and services to multiple different sectors including Media, Tax & Accounting, Legal and Financial Sectors. They are currently looking to hire a Key Account Manager to look after strategically important Public Sector Accounts - Including local and central government. You will work to identify key stakeholders within each client and build long term partnerships with them. You will be responsible for your own territory and will use Key Account Management Skills to set goals and detail how you will achieve them.

This position will be primarily based in Canary Wharf - however remote working will be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deep understanding of each organisation's strategy and objectives to inform the direction of the company and ensure we align to our capabilities effectively
  • Responsible for the long-term strategic goal of the customer.
  • Align collective resources to build long-term business relationships, grow revenue, drive retention and increase the company's footprint.
  • Collaborate effectively across Thomson Reuters to develop the account strategy for each assigned organisation, agree on prioritisation of opportunities with relevant sales and account management colleagues and take responsibility for driving progress on the account strategy within the organisation, coordinating relevant touchpoints and acting as the point of coordination across the company.
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills focusing on value proposition, identify opportunities to create needs and competitive solutions
  • Act as senior escalation point for customers and internal account teams as necessary
  • Build and leverage executive level relationship to drive engagement and strategic alignment.
  • Keep accurate records in Salesforce
  • Ensure the right connections between the company and the customers exist at all levels by bringing the relevant stakeholders from each organisation together into strategic meetings

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience and success of working in a Strategic Account Management, Key Account Management or Senior Account Management role ideally working with public sector accounts.
  • Strategic partnering, network building and client management
  • Experience of managing high value portfolios of clients and services
  • Proven success at retention, up selling and cross selling for complex, online / software products
  • Experience and success of managing complex, high level client relationships
  • Knowledge & Experience of legal industry & market network
