Junior Navigation Systems Engineer (Extensive Training)

Experis Consulting has an exciting and unique opportunity for ambitious individuals to be trained in all aspects of Navigation Systems Engineering, whilst working for one of the leading solution providers in UK's defence sector. This is a great opportunity to join Experis' ever growing consulting division where you will be trained and developed whilst representing Experis on one of our leading accounts.

If you have previous systems engineering experience gained within a defence or any other sector, had exposure to GNSS and have genuine passion and drive to further your career, then this could be the opportunity for you.

In the initial period you will be working on multiple projects focussing on the core set of skills needed to become a qualified Navigation Systems Engineer. You will utilise your current skills to apply yourself to the environment while undertaking a bespoke training plan giving you access to experience across a wide range of tools and technologies.

In order to fit the criteria applicants must have existing experience gained in Systems Engineering, , Software, Hardware, Firmware, Software or Algorithm Development. You must also:

  • Have a degree in a science, engineering or maths subject or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Be an innovative self-starter able to show initiative
  • Have system design experience
  • Have the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex technical problems
  • Have the ability to follow processes and procedures

Whilst on the training programme you will gain the following skills that will further your career:

  • Navigation system specification
  • Navigation signal processing
  • Multi-sensor navigation
  • Robust navigation techniques (anti-jam, anti-spoof)
  • Real Time Kinematic satellite navigation
  • GNSS security

After completing your training you will be qualified to:

  • Capture & Analysis of customer requirements, interpreting these to define clear road maps
  • System Design, Development & Testing of GNSS products
  • Work across a broad spread of technical, project and security domains with the ability to work at both the 'big picture' and technical detail levels.
  • Develop innovative and cutting edge solutions
