An opportunity for an experienced JavaScript Developer to join a team of expert developers working on the latest and greatest technologies.

Role:

You are a passionate JavaScript Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include implementing visual elements and their behaviours with user interactions.

You will work with both Front-end and Back-end to build all client-side logic. You will also be bridging the gap between the visual elements and the server-side J2EE infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new user-facing features
  • Refactoring Legacy applications
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs (mobile and desktop).
  • Integrate components in different layers
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Key skills required:

  • Strong understanding of JavaScript (ECMAScript), its quirks, and workarounds.
  • Knowledge of Design Patterns and Software Architecture.
  • Good understanding of web markup, including Responsive HTML and CSS for MS Trident and newer engines.
  • Good understanding of Algorithm Optimization Techniques and Time/Space Complexity Analysis for Complex Data Structures.
  • Good understanding of Functional, Object Oriented and Aspect Oriented Design.
  • Experience with common JS Libraries and Frameworks (Node, Backbone, Ember, Angular, Dojo, React, etc.)
  • Good understanding of asynchronous xml/json request handling, partial page updates, and native Ajax.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues.
  • Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Grunt.js and Gulp.js
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT/CVS/SVN/Mercurial.
  • Good Experience in J2EE architectures would be beneficial.
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or any related field.
