JAVA DEVELOPER: (JAVA 8, JSON, RESTFUL, RABBITMQ, CI, ELASTIC SEARCH)

The work location is in WORTHING and is a 6 month contract. The client is paying between 600-650 Per Day. Working for a client on the forefront of major Digital change.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Java 8 (EJB 3.x/Spring)
  • JSON (JSON Schema design and build)
  • Wildfly (10)
  • RESTful Services
  • Asynchronous messaging using RabbitMQ
  • Elastic Search (Enterprise Search)
  • Activiti (BPM)
  • Mule (ESB technologies)
  • Working on high-volume/distributed SOA/micro-service systems
  • The full software development lifecycle
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment methodology and tooling using Maven and Bamboo
  • Agile / Scrum Projects, with the proven ability to work in a team environment under pressure to deliver quality products to tight deadlines.
  • MySQL database development experience (SQL and schema design)
  • Experience of source control systems and branching models (Git)

Desirable criteria

  • JPA (OpenJPA or Hibernate)
  • Experience of OS technologies e.g. Unix
  • Ability to create, seek and act upon opportunities to obtain and share knowledge
  • Enterprise Integration patterns
  • Unit testing mocking frameworks

Role requirements

  • Ensuring that coding, unit and integration test activities are carried out correctly within the Java development space and to recognised standards (test creation, test data creation and test execution)
  • Contributing to design activities for the project, attending design workshops and contributing to the production of design specifications and high level architecture across many technologies
  • Contributing to the investigation and resolution of production issues.
  • Mentoring team members in Java technologies, but also across other technologies and the general SOA/micro-service architecture
  • Playing an active part in process improvement and promoting best practice across a varied set of technologies.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant quality processes and procedures, including completion of all the specified quality records
