  • Maintaining and expanding key unit tests, integration tests, functional tests and regression tests.
  • Engaging with a development team using scrum.
  • Communicating within the team.
  • Work closely with the 1st line support team in normal office hours, to help them with trouble shooting when required.

Key Requirements

  • At least 5 years development experience in financial markets, preferably substantially more.
  • Exposure to, and experience of, European equity markets and the various versions of the FiX protocol.
  • Experience of web application development, using Tomcat, Spring, MariaDB, Hibernate.
  • Experience of low latency/high volume messaging.
  • The candidate should have strong experience using Scrum and Kanban and be able to contribute to the process positively.
  • An appreciation of the term 'time-to-market' is essential.
  • Ability to work without external motivation.
  • The candidate should also be able to write SQL statements and stored procedures on demand.
  • Knowledge of, or experience in TCP/IP sockets, NIO and high volume database scenarios would be advantageous.

Candidates should submit their CV in the first instance.
