My Glasgow based client are currently looking to add hire a technically gifted Team Leader to their ranks. This role focuses heavily on Microsoft technology stack, networking and the implementation of a DevOps culture in and ITIL and ISO compliant environment. This is an amazing opportunity for a candidate who wishes to further their DevOps knowledge and leadership capabilties.

What will the role involve?

In this role, you will act as the most senior point of technical escalation in the department - the subject matter expert on a significantly broad list of tech. The company are investing heavily in technical transformation, implementing a cloud based architecture across a number of companies within the wider group.

This is a significant role and you will provide technical consultancy to both the Head of IT and other business leaders regarding the improvement and automation of the environment.

What experience do I require?

You should already have experience of leading a team, providing mentorship and making business critical decisions regarding technical capability.

You should have already gained significant knowledge of working on complex IT projects, preferably cloud migrations. Within this, you should be able to demonstrate your ability to upskill both yourself and others within the team.

Technical knowledge includes:

  • Active Directory to design level including requirements of hybrid environments.
  • Office 365
  • Windows 10
  • Windows Server (2008 - 2016)
  • Hyper-V and SCVMM
  • Azure
  • Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager and Intune.
  • Microsoft SCOM/DCDPM
  • Experience of Checkpoint and Cisco Firewalls and VPN
  • Experience working with and managing LAN and WAN networks and experience of managing a complex multi-site global network with a mix or MPLS, VPN, and ExpressRoute connectivity

Environmental knowledge should includes:

  • Experience of working in an ITIL environment.
  • Experience of implementing IT service automation
  • Experience of working closely with internal Development team using DevOps methodologies.
