Role: IT Systems Support Engineer

Rate: £410/day (Umbrella Only)

Our clients teams develop and support IT systems for the Royal Navy and across the wider estate, providing a great opportunity to get involved with a wide variety of technologies and environments. The purpose of the IT Support Engineer is to have a direct impact on ability to support the Royal Navy's decision-making ability by contributing to and supporting complex IT projects.
Knowledge/skills:
Our client are looking for a proactive candidate with a proven track record of supporting on-prem IT systems and with experience configuring IT systems. This role is suitable for someone with a technical background in Microsoft systems, for example as an Infrastructure engineer with 2 to 3 years' experience minimum with experience of network device administration beneficial.
Position Requirements:
Working with Task Leads to ensure tasks are completed to time, cost and quality.
Supporting and deploying Microsoft server and desktop products.
Supporting and deploying wider connected IT systems including other peripheral elements such as networking equipment and other LAN or WAN connections.
Deploying and supporting enterprise infrastructure and services including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Anti-Virus, WSUS, back-up and storage, Windows Server 2012 and Windows 10.
Solutions must be delivered fully documented, so a high standard of written work is expected.
Essential Qualifications
Working towards Microsoft MCSA or equivalent experience
Desirable Qualifications
Working towards VMWARE VCP or equivalent experience
Working towards CCNA or equivalent experience
