IT Service Management Specialist to be based in Milton Keynes on an initial 3 Month contract. Experienced IT Service Management Specialist needed to work with IT Process Owners and Process Managers to ensure that requirements are understood and business expectations are met.

Job Title - IT Service Management Specialist

Location - Milton Keynes

Rate - 450 per day

Duration - 3 Months initial

Main Responsibilities


IT Service Management process analyses and modification, the following processes are in scope;
  • Change Management
  • Configuration Management
  • Software Asset Management
  • Release Management
  • Problem Management

  • IT Service Continuity


Work with IT Process Owners and Process Managers to ensure that requirements are understood and business expectations are met.



SKILLS & PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS REQUIRED

  • Hand-on (3-5 years) experience delivering ITIL IT Service Management processes.
  • Exposure to ITIL V3 service management principles and working in a service centric environment.
  • Strong entrepreneurial thinking, actively looking for innovative ideas for service improvement.
  • Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to demonstrate systematic thought processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time-management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and a strong team player.
  • Vision to identify and create new processes and procedures where none currently exist.
  • Ability to influence others in order to promote good working practices or to change opinions in situations where opposing views are held.
  • Ability to cope with pressure, meet deadlines and to prioritise appropriately.
