A fast-growing organisation are seeking to appoint an IT Service Desk Manager, to be responsible for managing the operation of the Service Desk. This role is crucial to ensuring customer requirements are met in terms of communication, prioritising, escalating and resolving incidents and requests.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Solid experience working in a helpdesk, service desk or technical support environment is essential
  • Previous experience of leading a Service Desk is advantageous
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Able to work independently, flexibly and supportively across an IT function
  • Understanding of ITIL principals, qualification preferred
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with different teams, as well as at all levels of the business
  • Proven experience of working to SLAs and KPIs
  • Ability to describe, communicate and promote solutions and opportunities in a manner that the wider business community and external parties can understand
  • Excellent planning and organising skills
  • Proven ability of defining challenging objectives and achieve them
  • Possess an understanding of ADSL, Fibre, networking and associated technologies
