The Job

To develop and win export sales business in identified countries and markets as directed by the Head of export sales and/or Regional Manager operating in that region. This role is responsible for delivering a qualified and capturable 3 - 5 Year Order Intake Scenario built on significant opportunities that when grouped together support the goal of achieving £250M pa sustainable Orders year on year.

Key Accountabilities

This role is responsible for Identifying, Qualifying, developing and capturing export sales business in identified countries and markets as directed by the Head of Export Sales, Team Leader Airborne Products. Leading and winning major business changing deals.

You will strive to maximise deliverability and profitability of sales within business unit for a major client or group of clients. Sales target will typically exceed £5M

You are accountable for personal sales progression of the portfolio of export sales opportunities (typically including >£1M deals) into client(s)

Working collaboratively with wider International and BD/sales teams to support and manage cross-sales team initiatives

Knowledge and Experience

Experience of the military, civil and paramilitary applications of airborne ISTAR solutions

We are looking for previous demonstrable experience in an International sales/account management role with excellent understanding of and ability to apply sales concepts, tools and principles

Someone with highly developed ability to effectively negotiate at a senior level both internally and externally with a good working knowledge of commercial contractual issues, especially those involved in international business

You will be highly skilled at managing relationships and conflicting priorities with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a proven track record of being able to influence at senior levels

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone with good interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to learn quickly to develop domain knowledge appropriate to the tasks required and to work without supervision.

You will need to be a team player who can also use their initiative and possess good written and oral communication skills

You are required to have a minimum of 5 GCSE passes at Grade C or above, including Mathematics, English, and ICT. These are to support the numerical nature of the role and the technical e-reports produced.

A recognised engineering or science related qualification (HNC, NVQ Level 4, Degree, etc) is an advantage
