Internal Security Operations Centre (SOC) Technical (Team) Lead - to 60k +package

Large UK based Organisation, looking for a SOC Technical Lead to play a key role in the implementation of procedure and technology security measures. You will be responsible for day to day running of the SOC Team and working proactively to ensure future security incidents are prevented by the implementation of technical security measures.

Key responsibilities;

  • Lead, engage and motivate Security Operations Team members to deliver business objectives
  • Implementation of security improvement programs to strengthen the businesses first line of defence
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure positive business outcomes

Desirable skills;

  • Demonstrate experience in a Security Operations environment, leading teams, mentoring, and continuous improvement
  • Thorough technical knowledge of Security Products (SIEM, IDS, IPS), demonstrate ability to advise on strategy and impact of those products
  • Ability to influence and challenge constructively, particularly at senior levels or of effective Customer Relations Management

Technical Expertise - expertise in one or more of the following;

    • SIEM
    • Vulnerability Management
    • TCP/IP, LAN and WAN networking
    • Network Security (Firewalling, IPS)
    • DLP
    • Endpoint security
    • Web and Email security
    • Identity and Access Management
    • Cryptography and key management
