Instructor - Marine Mechanical Refrigeration

An excellent opportunity has just recently become available with my Client; The UK's largest provider of training support to the Ministry of Defence. They are looking to bring in an instructor who will be required to manage and instruct military and civilian personnel in the Marine Mechanical Refrigeration Area.

Responsibilities in the position will include -

  • instruct within the Refrigeration Training Area, theoretical and practical technical training on Mechanical refrigeration engineering techniques, complex systems routines, maintenance, diagnostics and repair techniques to the equipment and systems of RN warships and other Navies vessels in accordance with the Training Plan.
  • Deliver training in line with F-Gas and City and Guilds guidance
  • To assist in maintaining and updating training documentation.
  • To assess student course work and provide feedback on performance
  • To be responsible for the duty of care of trainees during the delivery of training.

Requirements for the position -

  • Consolidated experience (within last 5 years), or directly employed in Marine Mechanical systems to include skill of hand techniques & engineering principles ideally in the maritime environment or mechanical environment.
  • F-Gas certified and have practical experience within the environment (within last 5 years).
  • Confidence and attitude required to deliver practical and theory training to students.

The ideal candidate will have both a technical background and a formal instructor/lecturer Level 4 Qualification however instructor/lecturer training and qualifications will be provided.
