Insight Manager

We are actively looking to secure an Insight Manager to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

Your Key Responsibilities

As an Insight Controller within the Data Intelligence team in, you'll help drive decision making using the power of data and insights:

  • Developing relationships with stakeholders to reach a deep understanding of Trading initiatives
  • Understanding the commercial opportunities that exist to improve the way decisions are made with better insights
  • Designing and implementing insights roadmaps with your stakeholders to improve the way they make decisions
  • Leading a small team to produce high quality, actionable insights - using your own efforts as an individual contributor, your team, and matrix resources
  • Providing expert guidance to maximise the use of analytics or research to drive business action
  • Strategic reviews of portfolios and providing Executive level recommendations based on emerging trends
  • Working with colleagues across various disciplines to pull together holistic insights - this will include analytics, research, reporting, econometrics

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Senior Stakeholder Management: You must have an excellent and proven track record of having established successful business relationships with stakeholders at Head of Level and Director. Evidence of influencing, engaging with, and responding to senior stakeholders with credibility.
  • Excellent commercial skills: Able to produce and articulate commercial strategy with highly aware stakeholders.
  • Insight Experience: You must have deep and extensive experience in managing end-to-end Insights roadmaps covering research, customer analytics and decisioning.
  • Analytical Experience: You must have a strong analytical background to drive new innovative ideas to solving challenges with acquisition and retention.
  • Team Leadership: Track record of managing individuals to understand and deliver complex solutions in your own team and across an internal matrix.
  • Working in a dynamic environment: Enjoys working in an innovative and creative environment. Able to deliver big picture benefits and also make careful and swift prioritisation calls.
  • High levels of logical thinking & problem solving skills. Able to deal with complex problems using innovative and industry leading techniques.

Essential Skills:

  • Good understanding of consumer research techniques and its applications to drive business strategies.
  • Good understanding of Insight & Decision Science methodologies, specifically strong expertise of advanced predictive and optimisation modelling techniques and tools, decisioning approaches
  • Team management, including setting objectives, day to day management, resourcing
  • Experience of a using data and insights in a large scale consumer retail business
  • Strong programming experience utilising, SQL, SAS or equivalent packages.

Desirable Skills:

  • Degree level qualification in a numerate discipline
  • Strong Experience in SAS, SPSS or other modelling packages.
  • Direct experience of quant/qual/analytical research techniques
