Our experts working in Insight and Decision Science (IDS) are at the forefront of understanding consumers and creating actionable insight about their behaviours, attitudes, needs how they like to interact and what makes them tick. This consumer intelligence helps deliver a better experience and service to consumers and improves marketing performance. IDS employs a considerable team across several locations in a variety of specialist skills including data development, analytics, research, report development, decision execution, CRM, insight consultancy, software development and econometrics and has a very extensive and deep stakeholder base across 30+ areas, covering every subject - from acquisition to retention, from on-screen to online, from marketing effectiveness to targeted advertising.

Your key responsibilities

As the Insight Controller for Trading within the Insight & Decision Science team, you'll help drive decision making using the power of data and insights:

  • Developing relationships with stakeholders to reach a deep understanding of Trading initiatives
  • Understanding the commercial opportunities that exist to improve the way we make decisions with better insights
  • Designing and implementing insights roadmaps with your stakeholders to improve the way they make decisions
  • Leading a small team to produce high quality, actionable insights - using your own efforts as an individual contributor, your team, and matrix resources
  • Providing expert guidance to maximise the use of analytics or research to drive business action
  • Strategic reviews of our portfolios and providing Executive level recommendations based on emerging trends
  • Working with colleagues across various disciplines across IDS to pull together holistic insights - this will include analytics, research, reporting, econometrics

Your skills

  • Senior Stakeholder Management: Candidate must have an excellent and proven track record of having established successful business relationships with stakeholders at Head of Level and Director. Evidence of influencing, engage with, and responding to senior stakeholders with credibility.
  • Excellent commercial skills: Able to produce and articulate commercial strategy with highly aware stakeholders.
  • Insight Experience: Candidate must have deep and extensive experience in managing end-to-end Insights roadmaps covering research, customer analytics and decisioning.
  • Analytical Experience: Candidate must have a strong analytical background to drive new innovative ideas to solving challenges with acquisition and retention.
  • Team Leadership: Track record of managing individuals to understand and deliver complex solutions in your own team and across an internal matrix.
  • Working in a dynamic environment: Enjoys working in an innovative and creative environment. Able to deliver big picture benefits and also make careful and swift prioritisation calls.
  • High levels of logical thinking & problem solving skills. Able to deal with complex problems using innovative and industry leading techniques.
